Gatherings
The next Gathering shall be held when all positions are filled, or when most needed.
Battles
No Battles are currently scheduled.
Events
A meeting has been called in CloudClan to announce the new deputy.
Weather
It is late leaf-fall. The autumn season is slowly making way for the coming leafbare, and frosty winds are beginning to gust about. The waterways are submitting to thin layers of slushy ice, and prey is becoming scarce. Time to stock up!
Welcome to the new site Clans of Magic: The New Era! Brand new name for a brand new site! Old CoM (OCoM) has been torn down, and now New CoM (NCoM) has taken its place! We are a literate roleplay, so know your own skills before applying.

High-Ranking Characters « Thread Started on Jan 29, 2007, 11:35pm »
This is concerning the fact that, at this point, the majority of high-ranking characters on the site are owned by inactive players. Since some of them may be involved in site plots, or in other important facets of the site, I'd like to know everyone's opinions on adopting them out.
Now, I will not just hand out leaders and such to the first person who comes along. I'm going to require an RP example for everyone, or at least, that's what I thought would work best. And, since many people may be too busy to make a bio for a new character, I thought that this would make sense.
Currently, MistClan has no real authority, as everyone who holds a high rank in the Clan is inactive; WaveClan's deputy was proved inactive last activity check, and so the only cat in power there is Novastar. These are just examples of why authority needs to be shifted a bit on CoM.
Hey, if this were personal, would I type anything here? Most likely not.

Yes, I agree as well. That's a very good idea, Zephyr. I'll admit, none of us have been very active lately, so I also think we should plan something for our little kitties to do. For example, we could just say that there's hunting patrol going on in WaveClan, something little like that.
-Hides Triggerfoot's bio.- Erm, yeah, speaking of "I'll get to it when I have the time".

I'm glad everyone seems to approve of the idea so far; and Fleeting, I definitely agree with your idea about the small things. What CoM really needs is just IC activity, and patrols would be a perfect way to do it.
Oh, and don't worry about the bio thing. Everyone has times like that, I'm sure.

^^ I think all CoM needs is active leaders, deputies, and medicine cats, people on every other day if not every. x3 And the best way to boost activity is to ROLEPLAY, where people want to REPLY and come back more OFTEN! x3 (CAPS! T.T makes me sound mean. xD)

So, where do we post the roleplay posts? And do we have to create a whole new one, or take one from another site? I recently made a post that I kind of like.
But you've seen us all post, haven't you? I don't undertand why you need roleplay samples.
EDIT: If you need me to, I could probably take a leader or medicine cat in another Clan that needs the activity. Preferable leader, as we can't have a gathering without them.

I'm not sure, but The only reason we require roleplay samples is just to test how good you would be and how you would contribute to CoM as a leader...xD but tha'ts just my guess.
...and it really doesn't matter where we put the roleplay posts - I guess anywhere in any Clan's territory will do. ^^ About the leader/med cat thing, that would probably be all right, but that's Zephyr's call. We should do the gathering soon though, so it would be good to get leaders for it. x3
(I should get Ripstar's butt out of MarshClan camp, though, make him go on patrol or do something useful...)

To Bold: I just want to make sure that everyone is treated equally with the role-play samples; if a newer member wanted to try out for them, I wouldn't want to require a sample of them, and not from everybody else. I know that all of you are good role-players, don't worry.
And, er, I was planning on posting a special thread at the Auction Block for the high-ranking characters. That's where you should post an RP sample. Oh, and it can be a pre-made one from a different site, sure - I don't want to limit people to the character they are adopting.
To Rippah: Yes, I agree, as soon as we have all the Clan leader positions filled, we can have a Gathering again. Oh, and I think we'll need someone new to play Whiteout for the plot. -_- Marrowtail is inactive, as far as I can tell.
what if a "high-ranking charecter", with an inactive charecter doesn't want it to be put up for adoption? I think thats wrong of you Zephyrstar! SHAME ON YOU!!!
The light golden she-cat crept through the thick underbrush. She could smell a familliar smell up ahead, but she couldn't remember who it was... A small gray tabby tom sat in the clearing. He had a black zig zag pattern on his left leg. "R-rabbitpaw..?" said the golden she cat. "I-I thought you were dead!"she stamered. He was the love of her life, but he drowned. "That's because I am..."
If you mean the original owner of the high-ranking cat, Thunderkit, then Zephyr is completely fair in doing this. The people whose cats are up for adoption now are not active, nor did they post at the latest activity check, and in doing so have basically forfeited any and all characters.
To put this bluntly, do you think it's fair that they take a position and then leave?
